Computer Health - Contributing Factors

Some of the factors which contribute to the development of computer related health problems include:
- Performing small, repetitive movements (e.g. keyboard entry) for long periods
- Sustained muscle contraction (e.g. unhealthy mouse use).
- Binge computing
- Stress and tension.
- Poor ergonomics (i.e. poor fit between the computer user and the work station).
- Poor posture.
- Lack of breaks.
- Unrealistic work expectations.
- Poor work environment.
